Personality: As you can see Cocoa prefers to sit gangnam style. He has a LOT of fur so we sometimes get him the lion haircut during the summer months. Cocoa was not much of a lap cat in the beginning but that has changed as he has gotten older. Now that's all he wants to do! Lol He also loves to eat, so much so that the vet said we need to control his portions. We often find him laying down next to his food dish eating with one leg out to the side. When it is time to eat he is very vocal and let's you know it for sure. He also sits on command, and when I toss treats to him he catches them between his giant paws. Cocoa is not afraid of people and likes to be where the action is. He is not the type to be hiding under the bed unless it is bath time so we need to be careful not to tip him off. He tends to play more at night and moves pretty well for a big cat. Our kids are somewhat obsessed with him and sometimes I think they come over to see him more than us LOL!

Backstory: Cocoa was originally our daughters cat, she got him from friends when he was a kitten just before the holidays. We used to find him climbing in the middle of the Christmas tree often! Lol He is a Maine Coon/Himalayan mix and a pretty large cat weighing in at over 22 lbs. He would lover to sit on my chest every night before bed and I would massage his neck and shoulders so we became very attached. A few years later my daughter moved out and he ended up staying with us.
